In April of 2023, MedSend celebrated 30 years of ministry in healthcare missions at Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC. One of our special guests and featured speakers was Dr. Boaz Niyinyumva, a National Scholar family medicine graduate from Burundi who is doing incredible work transforming the healthcare system in his home country.
“[Healthcare missionaries] are doing a good job, but they cannot do everything by themselves. We can make a lifelong impact…by bringing more locals into the healthcare system,” Dr. Niyinyumva emphasizes.
